Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that it was an off day for Yuvraj Singh on Sunday. The Indian skipper defended his team mate's performance on the World Twenty20 final against Sri Lanka saying that Yuvraj had done his best.
On Sunday's final match Yuvraj faced 21-ball and scored 11 runs. His slow performance is being sighted as the reason for India scoring only 130 runs. Sri Lanka hit the target in 17.5 overs at a loss of four wickets.
Dhoni gave a press conference after the match, where most of the questions were related to Yuvraj. The Indian skipper defended him saying, "It was an off day for Yuvraj." Dhoni also said that Yuvraj tried his best but it's not easy to start playing well from the first ball itself.
Dhoni's press conference on this occassion was the shortest media interaction that the Indian skipper gave in the whole tournament.
