Senior BJP leader LK Advani on Saturday stated that Narendra Modi will become the next prime minister of India. Advani made the statement in Gandhinagar to the media.

The former deputy prime minister of India filed his nominations from Gujarat's Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat today. He was accompanied by BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Advani, while addressing to mediapersons in Gandhinagar said he was optimistic of the BJP forming the next government. He even said that Modi would become the next PM of India.

The senior BJP leader said Gujarat had provided shelter to him in 1947, when the country was partitioned. He also rubbished talks of not intending to contest election from Gujarat.
