Telangana politics have become a topic of debate again after Bandi Sanjay's son, Bhagirath, was linked to a POCSO case. The government of Telangana is very angry about this situation, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has set up several special teams to speed up the investigation. The newest information from the investigating team is that Bhagirath has been missing for the past three days, and no one knows where he is. It has been confirmed that Bhagirath has turned off his phone and is completely off the radar. This makes it very difficult for the police to find and catch him. Nevertheless, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy sees this as a matter of pride and fairness in society, according to unbiased observers. There is a strong belief that the Telangana government should hold everyone accountable in this situation. Any form of leniency could lead to a strong negative reaction from the public, and it seems that Revanth Reddy understands this. Even media analysts state that he cannot let this case go, no matter the political pressures, because justice must prevail.
The BJP leadership, including Telangana president Ramchander Rao, has distanced itself from this event, claiming it is unrelated to the party. This could lead to serious legal consequences for those involved. The girl’s family has accused Bhagirath of sexually assaulting her on at least three occasions, one being at a farmhouse in Moinabad on December 31, 2025, when he reportedly forced her to drink alcohol. When the family visited the Pet Basheerabad police station on May 8, the officers initially did not want to file a complaint. Some demanded to know why there was a delay in arresting the accused, while others yelled for Bandi Sanjay to step down as Union Minister. Meanwhile, the BRS student wing, BRSV, protested outside the DGP’s office in Hyderabad, where several leaders, including BRSV State president Gellu Srinivas, were taken into custody during the sudden demonstration. All of this happened on the same day that PM Modi was visiting Hyderabad.
