Axis My India has forecasted that actor Vijay's new political party, TVK, will secure between 98 and 120 seats during its first election in Tamil Nadu. If these exit poll outcomes are accurate, TVK would demonstrate significant influence in the results, challenging the ruling DMK and its coalition partners. Even achieving 98 seats at the lower end of these predictions would be remarkable for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), potentially ushering in a new political era in the state. Peoples Pulse anticipates that the DMK and its allies will obtain between 125 and 145 seats, while the AIADMK and its partners are expected to win between 65 and 80 seats. Peoples Insight estimates the DMK and its allies will secure 120 to 140 seats, with AIADMK and its partners possibly getting 60 to 70 seats. According to Praja Poll, the DMK and its coalition may achieve between 148 and 168 seats, while AIADMK and its allies might gain between 61 and 81. TVK is projected to win between 1 and 9 seats.

P-Marq has projected that the DMK and its coalition will win 125 to 145 seats; the AIADMK and its allies are expected to get between 65 and 85 seats, with actor Vijay's TVK forecasted to secure 16 to 26 seats. Matrize estimates DMK and allies will gain 122 to 132 seats, AIADMK and allies 87 to 100 seats, and actor Vijay's TVK 10 to 12 seats. Kamakhya Analytics predicts DMK and its allies will secure 78 to 95 seats; AIADMK and allies are expected to get 68 to 84 seats, with actor Vijay's TVK and its coalition expected to win between 67 and 81 seats. The primary competition is between the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA), which incorporates Congress, Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), versus the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by AIADMK along with the BJP and Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) as partners.

Tamil Nadu experienced high voter engagement throughout various districts, with many areas reporting impressive turnout numbers. As per the Election Commission, by 5 pm on April 23, voter turnout in Tamil Nadu reached 82.24 percent, with voting for all 234 assembly constituencies concluding by 6 pm. Counting of votes is scheduled for Monday.
