Heavy rain has caused severe flooding and disruptions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, leading to the deaths of at least 27 people. Thousands have been evacuated to relief camps, and train services have been significantly impacted, with over 100 trains cancelled. The Prime Minister has assured the affected states of all possible assistance from the central government. A red alert for extremely heavy rain has been issued for several districts in Telangana for the following day, and schools in Hyderabad have been declared closed due to the ongoing weather situation.

He also asked people to only leave their homes if it's absolutely necessary.
