The Uttar Pradesh Police's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has apprehended three individuals who raised suspicions on Thursday evening, just days before the consecration ceremony at the Ram mandir in Ayodhya. Officials have chosen not to disclose further information at this time, as the men are currently being interrogated. UP Police Special Director General (Law and Order), Prashant Kumar, stated on Friday morning that these individuals were detained as part of the state government and police headquarters' inspection campaign.

He assured that there is no evidence of their affiliation with any terrorist organization thus far, and more details will be provided after the questioning process. In preparation for the consecration ceremony, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, extensive security measures have been implemented in Ayodhya. The government has granted a half-day holiday until 2.30 pm on January 22, allowing its employees to participate in the festivities.
