Delhi Excise Case: Court Dismisses Amandeep Dhall Bail

Delhi liquor case turned tougher for the allegedly accused. After Sarath Chandra Reddy turned out to be one of the approvals the situation completely flipped out. On Friday, the Rouse Avenue Court dismissed the bail petitions of businessman Amandeep Singh Dhall related to the Delhi liquor scam. Amandeep was arrested on March 1st 2023 by Enforcement directorate officials (ED) related to the Liquor scam.

Judge MK Nagpal stated while passing an order, “Prima facie evidence leads this court to form an opinion that the allegations made by the prosecution that applicant is serious in nature and he is not entitled to be released on bail even in this schedule offence case of CBI.” The judge in his statement also added that the alleged was arrested in money laundering and is more serious in further for tampering with evidence and even can influence witnesses and also can alter records.

According to CBI, Searches were conducted on Amandeep's offices and residence in August 2022 and documents related to the excise policy have been seized, which shows the alleged involvement in the liquor policy. During the initial investigation, Amandeep failed to provide certain information and documents related. He attended CBI inquiries every time he was summoned before arrest but never gave any satisfactory replies nor explanations about the involvement of the conspiracy. This has led to arrest in this case and was not entitled to release on bail.

The court believes that the allegations made by Enforcement Directorate are serious and opposed the bail.
