On flight AI882 en route from Goa to Delhi, a male passenger onboard unruly behaved and physically assaulted Air India cabin crew members. Without any provocative comments or behaviour from the crew, the passenger who was onboard started abusing and later started physical abuse. The security personnel handover the passenger to the police after landing at Delhi Airport.

Even after landing at the Delhi airport, the passenger dint stopped abusing the crew. Only after his aggressive behaviour, he was handover to security in Delhi.

AirIndia spokesperson released a statement that “Safety of our crew and passengers is of utmost importance to us and we strongly condemn this unruly behaviour of the passenger. We will offer all support to the affected crew members.”

Recently there are many such incidents of unruly passengers on board flights. After the pee gate incident, DGCA directed the airlines to report on the unruly passenger behaviour even if there is no formal complaint.

A passenger who booked for unruly behaviour will face a ban on airlines for a certain period of time or lifetime under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulations under the classification of Level 1.
