Cricketer Mohammed Shami’s wife moves the supreme court against the Kolkata High Court order. A sessions court in West Bengal has stayed Shami’s arrest warrant. Hasin Jahan moves the Supreme Court with counsels Deepak Prakash, Nachiketa Vajpayee and Divyangna Malik Vajpayee on Tuesday and challenged the Kolkata court order issued on March 28th.

In the plea, Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan alleged that her husband demand dowry and he had also extra marital affairs. She also alleged that Shami have sexual affairs with prostitutes in the BCCI-provided hotel rooms when he was with the senior national cricket team, especially during BCCI tours.

Jahan first brought her voice in 2018 and later an arrest warrant was issued for Shami on August 29th 2019. Shami has challenged the order and a stay was granted on the arrest warrant. Jahan has challenged the session court order in Kolkata High Court, where the plea was rejected. Now she approached the Supreme Court and raised concerns about a speedy trial. Mohammad Shami is playing for Gujarat Titan (GT) in this IPL 2023 season.
