Delhi Liquor Scam: Manish Sisodia Questioned By CBI

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been named in the Delhi Liquor Scam and the investigation is on. Several raids are conducted across the country in relation with this scam and several leaders, businessmen are named. The Central Bureau of Investigation served notices for Manish Sisodia and he attended before the agency for the investigation. Manish Sisodia was present in the party office this morning after which he proceeded to Rajghat. Manish Sisodia and 14 others were named in the registered FIR by the officials of CBI under the sections of 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 477A (falsification of records), and section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. BJP leaders called Aam Aadmi Party as the most corrupt party of the country after Manish Sisodia appeared before the CBI officials for questioning.

In a response, AAP leader Surabh Bharadwaj revealed that their leaders are not corrupt and every worker of AAP is proud of Manish Sisodia's work. The questioning against Manish Sisodia began at 11 AM and it is expected to continue till the evening. The FIR was registered in a special court in Delhi in August. The leaders of AAP held a sit-in protest outside the CBI office in New Delhi. AAP MLAs, MPs including Saurabh Bharadwaj, Sanjay Singh, Jarnail Sinigh and Atishi were present with Manish Sisodia. Before that, Manish Sisodia said that his house, bank locker and every corner were raided and the officials of CBI could trace nothing. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia revealed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin behind the scams in which his ministers are announced accused. AAP called the party workers and youth to protest at the CBI headquarters.
