Indian government kept huge efforts to vaccinate the adults across the nation. After lakhs of people lost their lives in the second wave, the vaccination drive has been quite high. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed that 75 percent of the adults are now completely vaccinated and it is a great achievement. He lauded the faith of the people for trusting the Covid-19 vaccines. He said that the country will touch the 100 percent vaccination mark very soon. "India fighting against Covid-19 is a vast success and people should be safe and this is the wish of everyone" told Narendra Modi.

India saw the first case of coronavirus on January 30th 2020 which was two years ago. From then, India battled three waves of coronavirus. The total number of vaccinations administered in India are said to be 165.7 crores. "The cases of coronavirus are decreasing currently and this is a positive sign. 4.5 crore children were administered with the first dose of coronavirus vaccine. The decline of cases is a good sign and the government is keen to complete the vaccination drive. For all the eligible people aged above 60, the booster dose is given and there are plenty of doses available in the country" told Modi.

He also spoke about battling corruption after he received a postcard from a girl from UP who wanted to see India corruption-free. "Corruption is like a termite and this makes any country hollow. The responsibility is in the hands of the youth. It has to be done as early as possible. Everyone should give importance to their duties" told Modi about corruption.
