Indian Coronavirus Daily Tally Falls Below 10,000 Mark

For the first time in the recent times, the daily tally of new coronavirus cases fell below the mark of 10,000 after the second wave of the pandemic hit the nation. A total number of 8865 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours in India taking the total caseload to reach 3,44,56,401. With 11,971 recoveries in the past one day, the total number of active cases saw a decline and stands at 1,30,793. 197 people passed away in the last 24 hours and the total death tally is at 4,63,852. The active cases are the lowest since the last 525 days in India. The daily positivity rate is 0.80 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.97 percent.

Kerala reported 4547 new cases and the state continues to be the highest contributor for the new cases in the recent months. 57 deaths are reported in the last 24 hours in Kerala and the recoveries are 6866. The total number of recoveries in India are said to be 3,38,61,756. The total number of vaccinations administered in India are 1,12,97,84,045 and the doses given yesterday are 59,75,469. The total samples tested on November 15th are 11,07,617 and the samples tested in total are said to be 62,57,74,159 as per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research.
