India is yet to recover completely from the coronavirus pandemic. The current season saw a huge rise in the cases of viral fever and dengue. The Union Health Ministry sent special expert teams to nine states and union territories as they have reported high number of dengue cases. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya issued guidelines for the same during a recent review meeting that is conducted on the situation of dengue in Delhi. Haryana, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir are the nine states that have been reporting high number of cases for dengue.

The officials will monitor the status of the cases of dengue and will take enough measures to control and prevent the new cases of dengue. A total number of 1,16,991 dengue cases are reported across the country in various states and union territories. Some of the states reported high number of cases in October when compared to the other states. These nine states have contributed to 86 percent of the total dengue cases of the country as per the statistics from October 31st. National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and Regional Offices are set up and are sent to the states and union territories. The status will be reported as per the vector control, availability of kits and insecticides.
