A total number of 16,156 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, the total tally of cases for coronavirus reached 3,42,31,809. The death toll which was less than 200 on a regular basis climbed up badly in the recent weeks. In a shock, 733 people passed away in the last 24 hours and the total death toll reached 4,56,386. However, the active cases for coronavirus in the country has seen a huge decline and the active cases are 1,60,989 in India. The active cases in the country are 0.47 percent which is the lowest since March 2020.

The recovery rate in India is at 98.20 percent and it is the highest since the pandemic broke out. A total number of 103.53 crore vaccine doses are administered in India till date. As per the reports, a total number of 10.34 crore people have not taken their second dose of coronavirus vaccine and their due date is completed. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples tested for coronavirus on October 27th are 12,90,900 and the samples tested in total are 60,44,98,405.
