A total number of 43,263 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours in India. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, the total number of cases in the country reached 3,31,39,981. A total number of 40,567 people recovered in India in the last 24 hours taking the total number of Indian recoveries to 3,23,04,618. There are 3,93,614 active cases of coronavirus in India for now. With 338 new deaths, the total death tally in India reached 4,41,749. A total number of 71,65,97,428 vaccines are administered in India till date and the total vaccines administered yesterday are 86,51,701. The vaccination drive is happening at a fast pace in the country.

The daily cases witnessed a spike of 14 percent in a day. The total cases comprise of 1.19 percent of the total reported cases in the country. The weekly positivity rate is 2.43 percent and the daily positivity rate is 2.38 percent. Kerala reported 30,196 new cases and Maharashtra reported 4174 neww cases. Tamil Nadu reported 1587 new cases as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples tested for coronavirus yesterday are said to be 18,17,639 and the samples tested in total are said to be 53,68,17,243.
