Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the country is the major hub for the production of coronavirus vaccine. But unfortunately, the country is now struggling to meet up the demands and there is huge shortage for the vaccine doses all over. The people across the country are waiting for days to receive their dose of vaccination. The situations are worse that the people who received their first dose of vaccination had to wait for a long time to receive their second dose of vaccine. The Centre announced that it would vaccinate the people between the age of 18 and 45 from May 1st but this never happened.

The governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana already announced that the distribution of first dose of vaccination has been kept on hold to accommodate the people for their second dose. The governments also revealed that there are lakhs of people who are yet to receive their second dose of the vaccine. All the slots for the first dose of vaccine are cancelled till May 15th and the further call would be taken as per the availability of the new doses in the coming weeks. All the private hospitals which got registered for the vaccine are yet to get the stock.

The Centre is struggling to accommodate the doses and it asked the pharma firms to increase the production of the vaccination. The states are yet to receive the new doses of vaccination. The vaccination centres are filled with people and most of them had to return home after there are no stock available for the same. Telangana Chief Minister KCR urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to offer 2-2.5 lakh doses of the coronavirus vaccine on a regular basis to meet up the demand. He urged the people aged between 18 and 45 to be patient and wait for some more time considering the current crisis of the vaccinations.
