New Delhi is completely shattered and it stands second among the most impacted states after Maharashtra. The government of New Delhi is trying hard to control things but there is a huge shortage of oxygen and beds in the hospitals. There are several scary incidents registered and are widely circulated across the circles of social media. Some of the patients are waiting from days outside the hospitals on the stretchers and chairs. Some of them are being treated in ambulances, autos and vans that are parked outside the hospital premises. The city reported more than 24,000 cases on an average per day from the past one week.

With the current situations turning scary, people are rushing to hospitals though they don't need hospitalization. The overall bed capacity is said to be 20,751 and the ICU capacity is 4742. As per the portal from the government of Delhi, only 13 beds are vacant by Tuesday night. 11 among them are locked for pregnant women who will be tested positive for coronavirus. Some of the critically ill patients are struggling for beds and their relatives are running between the hospitals to find if there is a vacancy for beds. Though the government claims that there is no shortage of beds, the people are struggling. The oxygen is being imported and is shared between the states by the Centre.
