Delhi Budget 2021: Coronavirus vaccine to remain free

Manisha Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi presented the annual budget for the year 2020-21. Manisha Sisodia himself holds the Finance portfolio and he presented the budget of Rs 69,000 crores and is the highest till date. The Delhi government allocated Rs 10 crores for the programs on BR Ambedkar and another Rs 10 crores are allocated for the programs on Bhagat Singh. The major highlight is that the Delhi government aims to make the per capita income equivalent to Singapore by the year 2047. The first Sainik schools in the state will be open soon. Rs 3227 crores are allocated for power sector. The subsidies will be extended to farmers and lawyers in the state.

Rs 50 crores is allocated to Ashram's decongestion plan. A special budget is allocated for bringing 1300 e-buses in the state. Rs 5328 crores are allocated for urban development and 1343 colonies will get water and sewer pipelines. Manisha Sisodia said that they are working on a sports university to encourage youngsters. Delhi is expected to host Olympics in 2047. Rs 16,377 crores are allocated for education. The Delhi government is also in plans to virtual model schools very soon. Rs 9934 crores are allocated for the health sector. The Delhi government also promised free vaccination for the people of the state.

All the government facilities will continue to offer the vaccine for coronavirus for free. Rs 26 crores are allocated for the ex-gratia for the martyrs of the armed forces. Rs 45 crores are allocated for the installation of Indian flags in 500 locations of Delhi.
