The number of people who were victims to the virus were 93,57,494 citizens all over the country. The toll is rising and the recovery rate has dropped to 94.9% according to the Union Health Ministry data uploaded on Sunday. The COVID-19 case fatality rate stand sat 1.45 percent.
A total of 1,43,019 deaths have been reported so far in the country including 48,139 from Maharashtra, 11,939 from Karnataka followed by 11,883 from Tamil Nadu, 9981 from Delhi, 9010 from West Bengal, 8056 from Uttar Pradesh and finally, 7052 Andhra Pradesh followed by 5057 from Punjab.
The health ministry stressed that more than 70 percent of the deaths occurring due to co-morbid patients fatality.
The Indian Council of Medical Research is still searching for data everyday to compile the number of cases, death, fatalities and keep updating the public via news and media.
