International flights are restricted from now till 31 December and only selected flights will fly. The flight are stopped amid coronavirus pandemic. And the selected flights will be allowed based on the reason and severity says DGCA.

The Indian government suspended the International flight services till the end of December. Only the selected flights on selected routes shall be allowed on the case-to-case basis. DGCA added that the international all-cargo operations will continue to function.

Previously, the aviation ministry had extended the international flights cancellation till November 30. The similar extension is till end of the December in view of coronavirus increasing toll.

DGCA released the notification with a title 'Travel and Visa restrictions related to COVID-19' and stated "In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the subject cited above regarding Scheduled International commercial passenger services to/from India till 2359 hrs 1ST of 31St December, 2020."

However, government is allowing the special international flights under the Vande Bharat Mission. India has a bilateral ‘air bubble’ arrangements with a few countries. The air bubble arrangements have the 22 countries in the list-Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Bhutan, Canada, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iraq, Japan, Kenya, Maldives, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Rwanda, Tanzania, the UAE, the UK, Ukraine and the US.

There are no restrictions on domestic flights in India since May 25 post resuming the services after 2 months gap due COVID outbreak.
