TS State government declares that 10th SSC exams 2020 are cancelled. All the 10th class students will be promoted to next grade without examinations this year. Telangana CM K.Chandrasekhar Rao announced the exams cancellation news on Sunday after a high level meeting with the educational ministry.

The timetable for 10th exams was prepared and it was to begin from June 8th as per the released schedule. After Telangana CM held a meeting with the educational officials, it was announced that this year 10th students will be qualified without attempting any exams. They will be given grades based on their internal performance.

The exams were already postponed multiple times due to the coronavirus outbreak. The High Court ordered the State Govt to postpone the 10th SSC exams and restricted it from conducting the exams in any GHMC area of Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Ranga Reddy districts as they are marked as COVID-19 hotspots.

The count of 10th students in the state is huge around 5.35 lakh. This would make it difficult to monitor the students and conduct exams amid the coronavirus outbreak. Keeping the health and well being of students, the state government eliminated exams this year. As the government viewed high risk of virus infection, the students of 1 to 9 were also promoted without conducting exams.
