PM Modi CII’s annual session and addressed the industry with his positive words on economic growth of India. He strongly said, it is not so difficult to get the economy growth back. The government has the full courage to take bold steps to protect the nation from pandemic and the economy as well.

He addressed the Industry through a video conference session and said “You might wonder how I am so confident of this…I have faith in India’s talent and innovation, it's hard work and dedication, its entrepreneurs and workforce”.

Both- control of coronavirus and economic development are crucial for the nation. He said “On one hand we need to be safe and ensure we control the spread of the virus, but at the same time, on the other hand, we need to keep the economy going”.

He also spoke about lockdown 5.0 which is currently going on in India. Now the nation is moved from lockdown to unlock which means the “growth has already begun”.

A huge part of the economy gaining sources is opened after the new lockdown. After June 8, there more will be opening and that will be a scope of economic growth back.

He again stressed on the importance of “Intent, inclusion, investment infrastructure and innovation” for India to become self reliant. Modi previously tried to create awareness to people about self reliance and its importance. Again, in the recent session, he urged Indian to be self-reliant in order to see economic growth back.

He also added “Trust me, getting growth back is not that difficult. For the industry, this was the time to rise to the occasion, he said, urging industry leaders to be “champions of indigenous inspiration”.

There is a need to promote Indian products for the economy to raise normally. In PM’s words “We need to manufacture products that are Made in India and Made for the World”.

He also mentioned what the government is working on-“We have been working continuously to create a favourable ecosystem for investment and business.”

Mr. Modi has faith and confidence in MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise). MSME is a game changer of the economy as it contributes 30%.
