We all wish coronavirus stopped spreading. However, that’s not the case. Day by day, cases are increasing.
The health ministry has started a facility-based surveillance in all districts and on a chunk of population the “sero-survey” of high and low risks is conducted. This initiative is taken to keep a close watch on the spread of COVID-19 cases in India.
As per current guidelines, along with being tested regularly, the surveillance test is an addition. This move will help in keeping a check on the community transmission in any part of the country.
On testing they found cases in some of the locations and it is highly essential to control the virus from spreading among communities. It was even said by the AIIMS that if the zones are not contained, it could be problematic and more likely to spread.
The Indian Council of Medical Research and the National Center for Disease Control are together with stake holders and the health departments of the State.
In this survey, every individuals blood serum will be taken and they will know how much of coronavirus has spread across districts.
