While the researchers, doctors and even the common people are aware of the extremities of the coronavirus symptoms, it is likely that there could be more. The common signs of dry cough, breathing difficulties and fever have been reported as the primary concern but it is likely that there are more.

According to some reports, it is likely that the novel coronavirus infected patients may also showcase some dermatological symptoms including pseudo frostbites, hives or even rashes on their skin.

These symptoms are aside from the standard symptoms that everyone experiences. For the asymptomatic patients who have not been showing any standard symptoms but have been experiencing these dermatological changes as well as the loss of taste and smell could report about the same.

These reports were suggested by French National Union of Dermatologists-Venereologists (SNDV – skin and sexually transmitted disease doctors).

The organisation, in a statement reported, that they have been experiencing a rush of similar cases with these kinds of symptoms. They added saying that these cases could also not have the common symptoms of the virus as many report it as.

SNDV has organised a group of 400 doctors on WhatsApp to further discuss these possible signs as a symptom for the novel coronavirus.

When asked about this clause last week, France's Director General of Health Jerome Salomon stated saying that he has not come across any such publication highlighting the same.

Over the days, multiple new symptoms of the virus aside from the standard symptoms have been recognised. Even though they aren’t completely fool proof yet, it is believed that they do have link with the disease.

Even the British Rhinological Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology in the late March reported about the possible loss of smell and taste as a sign of the novel coronavirus infection. The same was established after multiple countries further reported this to be true and that several of the infected patients have actually reported these signs.

Medical professionals and the researchers are still unsure as to what is actually causing this loss of smell and taste. Some researchers believe that it is likely that the virus is destroying the cells in the nose or infecting the sensory nerves in the olfactory pathway, contributing to the same.

The possible infection in the brain in some of the covid-19 patients is noticed in those with respiratory failures. There have been evidences that also report that the coronavirus also does infect the central nervous system which can often proven fatal in some cases.

Some of the infected covid-19 patients have also reported to experience the signs of neurological issues including the risks of strokes and seizures. There have been reports of patients reporting acroparathesia, which is a condition that causing tingling sensation in the limbs.

Serious cases have also reported signs of heart attacks but without any reports of atherosclerosis. Studies are being conducted to further keep an eye out on these newly devised symptoms to find the links behind these.
