Indian Students in China are Asked to Stay Indoors Amid Coronavirus

The deadly coronovirus is said to have killed 80 people and has infected nearly 3,000 people until now in Wuhan in China.

The Foreign Ministry has said that all the options in consulting with the government of China are being examined in order to address the concerns of the Indians that are stranded which also includes the Indian students in the city of Wuhan which is the epicenter of the deadly infection.

It has been however confirmed by the Foreign Ministry that no Indian has been infected with the deadly coronavirus although the students have been asked to take further precautions in order to stay safe from the coronavirus which is killing several people across the city.

Raveesh Kumar, the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry has tweeted where in he mentioned that close coordination with the authorities of China are being made ion making sure that all the Indians that are being stranded in China including the students are safe and no individual is infected with the deadly coronavirus. It is also been made sure that the food and water supplies is available to the stranded Indians.

Mr Raveesh Kumar has also added saying that the Indian embassy in Beijing is trying to help the students with the travel options that are possible in order to get the students out of the Hubei Province, where Wuhan is situated.

The Indian students have mentioned that they have formed groups in order to help each other and are also in touch with the officials of the embassy.

Sharath Ajit who is a student of the Wuhan University has told the NDTV that they have been asked to stay indoors and to stock up on the essentials he has also said that online groups have been formed in order to help the fellow students and the embassy officials have also been approached in order to find out if they can can get back to their home.

A third helpline number has been opened by the Indian embassy in order to handle the calls from the citizens who are worried and it is said that nearly 600 calls have been received in the last two days.

The coronavirus is identified to be spread from Wuhan being its epicenter to the other countries like Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam and across the continents to the US, Canada, France and Australia.

Eleven people in four cities are said to be kept under observation in India after they had returned from China.

The coronavirus is a deadly virus that is said to be transmitted from animals to the human beings, according to the World Health Organization.
