India aids building programme for Afghanistan Central Civil Registration Authority

The Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India and Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has organized a special capacity building programme for Afghanistan Central Civil Registration Authority (ACCRA) which was conducted from December 23-30, 2019 in New Delhi which was followed by a field visit to Chandigarh. The premises of UIDAI has also been visited by the officials of Afghan in order to study the India’s AADHAAR initiative in detail.

The study of the registration of citizen’s births and deaths, vital statistics and indicators system and AADHAAR were included in the elements of the programme. The process of registering the births and deaths, live demonstration of the software and the methodology of enumeration of the census has also been explained.

The participants of Afghan thanked India for organizing and arranging the course which would contribute in helping their efforts for implementing better plans for the population register framework.
