Terrorist Attack In Kulgam, Kashmir Executes 5 Migrant Labourers

Kashmir experiences yet another terror filled attack, killing 5 migrant labourers from West Bengal and 1 was injured by the terrorists in the Kathrasoo village area which is located in the Kulgam district in Kashmir. The incident happened on October 29th, 2019.

This was the same day that 23 of the EU MPs were visiting Kashmir to assess the situation at hand following the retrieval of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir following the revoke of the Article 370 and 35A.

According to the alleged reports, it is believed that six labourers from West Bengal were abducted, who were then lined up and open fired and killed. Out of them, five of the labourers died on spot while one of them was severely injured. The one who was severely injured, Zahoor-ud-din, who is also from West Bengal, was left for dead. He was later found by the police authorities and shifted to the Srinagar hospital for better care.

The five men who were killed under the terrorist attack were identified. The deceased included Sheikh Mursaleen, Qamar-ud-din, Mohammad Rafiq, Nizamuddin and Rafique-ul Sheikh.

This attack that happened on Tuesday was counted as the fifth in the series of the terrorist attacks that happened since October 14th, 2019. Prior to this recent attack, the terrorists have also killed one trucker, Narayan Dutt, in Katra on Monday. There has been series of attacks happening, the murder of four other truckers, one labourer and even an apple trader before has been going on since October 14th.

Just the week prior of the latest attack, alleged and the suspected terrorists from the Hizbul Mujahideen have also gunned down two other truck drivers and even critically injured one of the helpers. The incident happened near the Chittargam Kalan village which is situated in the Shopian district which is in southern part of Kashmir.

One of the drivers in the incident who was killed has already been identified as Mohammad Illiyas who is a resident of Rajasthan. The helper who was injured in the process was identified as Jeevan and he is from Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

The consistent attacks on the non-Kashmiris have raided an alarming situation around the area. Immediate action needs to be taken for the people residing to ensure better care for them.
