Days after Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehtha got married in a lavish ceremony, Reliance Industries Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani celebrated their son’s marriage with defense and security personnel at the Dhirubhai Ambani Square in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The couple interacted with members of the Army, Navy, paramilitary forces, Mumbai Police and Railway Protection Force and their families.

Speaking at the event Nita said, “We feel delighted and honored that the protectors of this city and the nation are joining us in our celebrations. It's an emotional and joyous occasion for us and we hope these heroes, who make us proud every day, will shower their blessings on Akash and Shloka.”

The main highlight of the event was a special Musical Fountain show, Ananta Prem which was conceptualized by Nita Ambani on the theme of Krishna’s Raas Lila dance.

Nita and Mukesh also celebrated Akash’s marriage with underprivileged children, residents of orphanages and old age homes.

Akash got married to Shloka, daughter of diamonatire Russell Mehta on Saturday in a luxuriant three-day wedding function. The wedding and reception ceremonies were attended by politicians, film stars, businessmen and cricketers. Popular pop rock band Maroon 5’s Adam Levine also performed at the reception.
