India Celebrates, Pakistan Protests as India Carries out Air Raids

People across India on Tuesday celebrated the air raids across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan after over 40 Indian security personnel were killed in a suicide attack in Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir.
India's foreign secretary said fighter jets targeted camps belonging to Pakistan-based armed group, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), which had claimed responsibility for the deadly terrorist attack.
Pakistan has accused India of violating its airspace and committing "uncalled for aggression".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is about to face general elections by May, has been under immense pressure to respond to the attack that took place on February 14 that sparked outrage across the country.
The latest Indian retaliation to the attack has added to the panic among Kashmiri civilians who have been affected by heavy troop deployment and fuel shortages since the suicide attack.
