After an uninterrupted hike in fuel prices in the past few weeks, in yet another stroke to the common man, the prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has escalated by Rs 2.34 for subsidized and Rs 48 for non-subsidized cylinders in the national capital on Friday.
The new price for subsidized cylinder in Delhi is Rs 493.55, while 698.50 for non-subsidized cylinder.
Besides Delhi, the rates after the escalation for subsidized cylinder is Rs 496.65 in Kolkata, Rs 491.31 in Mumbai and Rs 481.84 in Chennai respectively whereas the new rates for the non-subsidized cylinder is Rs 723.50 in Kolkata, Rs 671.50 in Mumbai and Rs 712.50 in Chennai.
This abrupt hike in prices comes following the central government slammed for hiking in fuel prices for 16 consecutive days, when commoner ultimately got some ease with a mere diminution in petrol and diesel prices.
