Italian novelist, Umberto Eco once said “I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers teach us at odd moments when they aren't trying to teach us. We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.” If you feel that way about your dad and want to celebrate Father’s Day with him in style, we can help you find just the right location.
Below is the list that would be the best places in Washington D.C., to celebrate with your father. We have also included a few Father’s Day special where you can snag to save a few bucks.
Note: The prices do not include beverages and taxes. It is one of the busiest time of the year, so you must reserve a table, and please verify the menu and pricing at the time of the reservation.
Kingbird at The Watergate Hotel:
This upscale hotel’s fine-dining room serves exceptional haute cuisine, and Father’s Day is no exception. Kingbird Restaurant and The Next Whisky Bar have created two distinct menus Dad will love. In Kingbird, brunch costs $30 per person and features a special barbecue menu, and just this Sunday, that menu includes a choice of grass-fed burgers served with Cheddar, a salmon burger, or a black bean burger with Gruyere. In addition to usual accompaniments like French fries, pickles, lettuce, etc. you can add unique topping choices like duck confit, braised short rib, caviar Remoulade, and caramelized onion.
All Set Restaurant & Bar:
All Set Restaurant & Bar is feeding dads for free. In downtown Silver Spring, the New England-style seafood restaurant will give each dad a complimentary entrée when an additional entrée of equal or greater value is purchased. Some of the tasty options are BBQ ribs with Boston baked beans, house cut fries and coleslaw; the Lobster Roll with drawn butter or Tabasco-lime mayonnaise, chives, served with house-cut fries; and the NY strip with creamed spinach, house-cut fries, and horseradish cream. The special Father’s Day offer is good during brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. For reservations or additional information, call 301-495-8800.
Empress Lounge Garden:
Huge 22 oz. Certified Angus beef tomahawk steaks are the pick at Empress Lounge Garden, located in the Mandarin Oriental.
