
On Wednesday, Nadir Patel, the High Commissioner for Canada to India gave permission for the Indian companies to visit Canada in order to seek new partners, find the opportunities to launch new start-ups, explore the investment opportunities, and also identify new products and technologies for use in India.
Patel, is heading the delegation of 150 Indian companies to mark the Canada’s 150th anniversary. The visit of Indian companies is being organised in collaboration with the India-based Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC) and also the Canada-based Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC).
While speaking about the visit, Patel said that, Canada’s commercial relations with India are growing at a stronger pace, but still there are numerous opportunities for additional growth and also for the collaboration between Canadian and Indian companies. This visit to Canada will provide the Indian companies a good knowledge about the Canada’s strengths in different sectors and also an opportunity to develop the personal contacts with some of the Canada’s top companies.
The representatives of participating Indian companies will be spending three days in Toronto where they will engage in various business meetings with the Canadian firms.
The representatives will also receive the instructions on investment, visit the potential partners and also manufacturers, and participate in the networking events.
The participants in the visit will also take part in the Canada-India Business Symposium and also in annual Gala Awards Dinner, hosted by the ICCC.
