According to a recent report, Forbes has identified 500 best employers in the United States and 31 of those employers are in Pennsylvania.
The two top companies that topped the Pennsylvania list, employees thousands of people in the state.
Penn Medicine, which is a health care company based in Philadelphia the largest company in the state, employs 31,235 is at number 7 nationally.
According to Forbes, the best employers in America is the Costco. The company has not fallen below third place over the past three years, and a big perk offered by the company is health insurance for part-time employees.
Along with Costco, Google and REI rank the top on the list. Forbes split employers into two groups, mid-sized — companies with 1,000 to 5,000 employees — and large employers — companies with 5,000 or more employees.
Lush topped the list of mid-sized companies, though the company is headquartered in the United Kingdom, it operates 200 locations in the United States.
"According to respondents, Lush employees were most taken with the company’s image, its diversity, and to a lesser extent its working conditions," says Forbes.
