The United Kingdom’s smallest castle is on sale and anyone can snap it up for the almost same price of a small flat in London. The Castle is on the market for £550,000.
The grade II listed building comes with only a single bedroom, but the inner décor of the castle is as well as the beautiful grounds that makes it somewhat of a bargain.
The castle is called Molly’s Lodge. Well, people do have the option to change the name.
The castle was constructed by an architect named Edward Blore in the 1830s.
Blore also restored Lambeth Palace and competed the enlargement of Buckingham Palace for Queen Victoria.
The castle is situated in Long Compton in Warwickshire, and it is surrounded by trees on its 0.61 acre land.
The new owner of the castle will be able to enjoy its limestone turrets, and winding staircase up to the top.
The bedroom is present in the main castle with a smaller one in an outbuilding; the property has a dining room with mullion windows and a Victorian cast iron fireplace.
Along with bathroom there is a sitting room as well as a double car park and a garage, which houses an office.
In terms of the grounds, there is a long gravel driveway which leads up to an oak front door.
The owner will also inherit a pond, an orchard, vegetable patches and a chicken run.
