
In the fatal shooting of Aaron Lewis in Liverpool detectives are examining a handgun found in a burnt car near the scene.
26-year-old Aaron Lewis, of Toxteth was shot three times outside Anna Jung’s Chippu in Grosvenor Road, Wavertree on Wedesday (Feb 1st) 19:00 GMT.
According to the police the cold blooded targeted crime was related to an organized crime.
The death of Lewis has left his family’s hearts broken, they said “they just want justice” but no more gun death.
Post-mortem report revealed that Aaron Lewis died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Police found a gun on Wednesday evening (Feb 2nd) in a Renault van which was found burnt out near Brookdale Road and Ferndale Road in Wavertree.
Police said the gun will be now forensically examined to establish if it can link to the murder.
Aaron Lewis was known to police, he was the son of kick boxing champion Alfie Lewis.
Alfie Lewis tribute said: "Last night my oldest son was shot dead. It has broken my family's heart; we loved him from the very first day he was born.
Alfie Lewis said that his family does not want revenge because that would mean meaningless loss of another life.
Alfie and his family had left the case in the hands of the police, who gave them great support and for that the family wants to thank them dearly.
"Let the law take its course. We want justice. No more gun death."
Shortly after Alfie Lewis was shot a 19-year-old went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening and detectives believe he had been with Mr Lewis.
