The governor of 'Reserve Bank of India' Raghuram Rajan was much popular for his predictions on the recession in 2008 (even before holding the current office) when he was associated with an international body. After assuming the governor of RBI, he has been strategically preparing the monetary policies for stable growth and towards taming the uncertainties in Indian economy.
According to the media reports, the Mumbai police are enquiring the threatening mail from suspected ISIS outfit. Rajan got mail from an unidentified person or ISIS associate (as the mail was from 'isis583848') in last month.
The DNA paper quoted the mail was being accessed from 10 different countries including Australia, Italy, US, Nigeria, Poland, Germany, Hong Kong and Ukraine.
Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria, who confirmed the development, said, "We have received a complaint that a threat email was sent to the RBI governor. The e-mail also contained the name of ISIS. We are not taking this lightly and all efforts are being made to trace the culprits."
"I have been given money by somebody to eliminate you. If you will pay me more than I have been paid, then we can decide on it," the newspaper quoted the mail as saying.
The Islamic State or ISIS militants are following the brutal way of beheading the captives and terrorizing the world in the name of one religion across the globe.
However, we cannot confirm the identity of the mail sender as the associate of ISIS with this information. But, the threatening call alerted the police and intelligence department personals.
