The clash between two groups in Darbhanga, during the Holi procession on Friday evening, resulted in loss of one life and around 12 persons are injured. A police person was among the wounded, and they all were taken to the nearby hospital. Chandreshwar Lal (30) was died during the treatment.

“The administration is treating the death of Lal as a natural one, but the villagers are insisting that he died during the clash. We have sent the body to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for post—mortem to ascertain the cause,” the DIG Uma Shankar Sudhanshu said.

To stabilize the situation, Senior police and district administration officials including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj, District Magistrate Ravi Kumar rushed to the spot. The situation is under normalcy now.
