India and US going to discuss on civil nuclear cooperation during the visit of President Barack Obama's visit this month. Obama will visit India as chief guest of Republic Day celebrations on Monday, 26 January, 2015.

At this visit the both the countries are going to discuss very key issues like climate change, the Indo-U.S. civil-nuclear agreement and defense and economic ties.

John Kerry told while talking to reporters, “He will discuss bilateral and other issues with PM Modi. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday in Washington. We expect to India to sign a landmark change agreement in Paris at the end of this year and this would be the topic that going to discuss with India during the President’s visit to India, he added.

“We will try to make progress on issues like defence agreements, civil nuclear agreement as well as economic progress," kerry said while giving an outline of the proposed discussions with Modi.

The two issues – nuclear liability and patent – "are probably some of the knottiest, thorniest issues that we've had," a senior State Department official told reporter travelling with Kerry.
