India's ace tennis player Sania Mirza was denied entry into the Taj Mahal on Tuesday. The tennis star arrived late at the gates of the Taj Mahal. So Sania was forced to turn back as the gates of the Taj Mahal were already closed for the day.
Sania Mirza, who was in Agra for a function, was disappointed when she went to see the 'monument of love'. The tennis player, who arrived late, could not see the Taj Mahal in Agra.
Sania was attending a function organised at the Jaypee Palace hotel in Agra. After attending the function, the Indian tennis queen went to see the 17th century monument on Tuesday evening. But Sania arrived late and could not see the beautiful monument.
Tourist guide Ved Gautam says the tennis player arrived after the gates were closed for the day.
Recently, Sania won a mixed doubles gold with Saketh Myneni at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan had built the monument in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
