Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is unhappy with Salman Khurshid’s ‘impotent’ jibe at BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. On Tuesday, the Union minister had called the Gujarat chief minister impotent for not being able to protect the life of almost 1200 people who died during the 2002 Gujarat carnage.

Rahul has time and again asked his party members to mind their tongue while going after Modi's role in the Gujarat riots and his claims of Gujarat development model. The Congress leader disapproved Salman Khurshid for using the term 'impotent' on Modi.

Earlier Gandhi had objected to Mani Shankar Aiyar’s “chaiwala” barb on Modi.

The Congress party has decided to step-up its attack on Modi over his failure to prevent the mass massacre of people in Gujarat, who were mostly from the muslim community, and his claims over development.

PM Manmohan Singh in January, when he gave his last press conference, held the Gujarat CM responsible for the Gujrat riots by saying that he had presided over the “mass massacre of citizens”. Singh went on to add that if Modi becomes PM it will be disastrous for India.

Manmohan's statement was later endorsed by Rahul, who also held Modi for abetting the riots.
