Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal and his six cabinet ministers will take take their oath of office and secrecy on Saturday at the Ramlila Maidan. But what is noteworthy is that Kejriwal, the former Indian Revenue Service officer, and his MLAs would travel by Delhi Metro to reach the swearing-in venue.

The 45-year-old AAP chief and his MLAs will take a ride in the Metro to reach Ramlila Maidan. Delhi's youngest Chief Minister will take the Metro to Barakhamba Road from Kaushambi, his home. And from Barakhamba Road, Kejriwal will travel to Ramlila Maidan by car. Kejriwal does not think that his travel by the Metro could pose a security threat as he considers himself a common man. This is unlike the trend followed by most chief minister's convoys in India that has about six to nine cars, including three-four bullet-proof cars and police pilots. Even on normal days, the CMs convoy would have these many cars wherever he goes. But Kejriwal appears to be different and believes in demonstrating what he proclaims to be, an 'aam admi' (common man).

The ceremony for oath-taking is scheduled for 12 noon. Incidentally, Kejriwal had joined social activist Anna Hazare in 2011 at the Ramlila Maidan in the movement to call for the enactment of anti-corruption laws to the government.
