The Central Bureau of Investigation, India is all set to bring down the curtains over one of the most controversial murder mysteries of this decade - Arushi-Hemraj murder case today, more than five years after the horrific incident left the country and the investigators baffled.

So far, CBI has held the main accused, Arushi's parents - the dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar - as the murderers of their 13-year-old daughter and domestic help Hemraj Banjade, who were killed at Talwar's Jalvayu Vihar residence in Noida on the intervening night of May 15-16, 2008.

CBI's charges were grounded on circumstantial evidences — no outsider entry, last scene theory, dressing up of the crime scene, destruction of evidence, tampering with Aarushi's body and cover up of Hemraj's body with cooler panel on terrace.

The Talwars had, however, shot down all claims saying that the CBI was trying to implicate them and all arguments and theories offered by them were unrealistic and over-imaginative. They are currently out on bail.

After two-and-half years of extensive probe, the CBI had filed for a closure citing failure to find any sufficient evidence against the accused.

Their plea was shot down by the court who said that there was enough prima facie material in the agency's report that was enough to launch a trial against the Talwars.

As the nation waits with bated breath for the verdict, it remains to be seen if Aarushi gets her justice today?
