Country's richest woman Savitri Jindal has been inducted into Bhupinder Singh Hooda's ministry as Urban Local Bodies Minister.
The post was formerly held by Gopal Kanda, who resigned from his office in June 2011, after being booked for abetting Geetika's suicide.
A Congress MLA from Hisar, Savitri hold the post of non-executive chairperson in O.P. Jindal Group. Forbes named her as India's richest woman with a fortune pegged at $7.6 billion. She is also among top 100 richest people in the world.
She comes from a small town in Assam called Tinsukia.
