CCTV footage to identify man who left AK-47 in guest house near Jama Masjid.

The Delhi Police is studying the CCTV footage captured at a guest house near Jama Masjid in Delhi to identify a man who declared to have left an AK-47 assault rifle and several hand grenades in a bag there and that the weapons, along with 2.5 kgs of explosives, were recovered from a room at the guest house last night during a police raid.

According to the employees at the guest house as they told the police that a man, who posed as a tourist, had checked into the room where the bag was found around 4 PM on March 20. In spite of paying an entire day's rent, he left the hotel at 8 PM and never came back. In fact, the police is also studying the identification proofs and address details provided by the suspect for the guest house's records.

The cops were known to have arrived at the guest house a day after the man left and went straight to room where he had stayed.

According to the sources say, they raided the hotel based on the information provided to them by a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist who was arrested from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Fact-fully, a bomb disposal squad was present outside the guest house while searches were being carried out having several other men have been delayed from the area for interrogation.

The charged Hizbul terrorist, Liyakat Shah alias Kaka Khan, hails from Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir and is believed to be associated with the Hizbul Mujahideen for the last 15 years and that Shah was on way to Delhi in a train when he was arrested from Gorakhpur during which he has been sent to 15-day police custody by a court there.

As a concluding fact, the sources say Shah will also be interrogated about the recent militant attack on a paramilitary camp in Srinagar.

It was indeed a narrow escape!
