The theatrical market of Andhra Pradesh is the biggest ever for Telugu cinema and a major share of revenue comes from the state. With some unexpected and harsh moves from the AP government, the theatrical market is completely shattered. The entire state is left in shock with the current moves from AP government. The High Court canceled GO 35 but the government is not in a mood to obey the orders of the court. The attacks on the theatres have increased after the High Court's decision was out.

Most of the exhibitors are not ready to screen films when the tickets are asked to be sold for Rs 20 in C centres where the theatres are equipped with AC and DTS. The Appeal Petition made by the AP government will come for hearing today in the High Court. For now, it is clear that the government of Andhra Pradesh is strict on their stand and are focused to spoil the theatrical market in the state through low ticket prices. Several films like Shyam Singha Roy, RRR and Radhe Shyam releasing in the upcoming weeks and Tollywood is heading for a big bet. We have to wait to see how the situations turn out.
