The second wave of coronavirus pandemic brought a long pause and the country was shut. After the cases of coronavirus came down, the restrictions are lifted and all the fields are now reopened for public. The film industry is yet to reopen as there are lot of hurdles yet to be cleared. However the shoots of all the Telugu films resumed and some of the actors even completed their upcoming projects. The film theatres are asked to reopen but the exhibitors are not in a mood to reopen them till the promises are made and fulfilled. The exhibitors across Andhra Pradesh are against the new ticket prices GO and they are urging the Andhra Pradesh government to revise the GO. They are yet to receive a reply from the government.
The theatres across Telangana are all set to reopen from July 30th after the Telangana government granted 100 percent occupancy for film theatres. They also granted the theatres to collect parking charges and promised to stand as a support for the exhibitors. Starting this weekend, there would be several films hitting the screens. Satyadev's Thimmarasu and Teja Sajja's Ishq are the films that are releasing this Friday. The trailers and the promotional content of both these films look promising. Tollywood is eagerly waiting for the release of these films and how they would perform at the Tollywood box-office. If these films fare well and if the theatre issues are resolved in Andhra Pradesh, several renowned Telugu movies will hit the screens in August and September.
