Seasoned director VV Vinayak's long-awaited "Alludu Seenu" has passed the Censor Board test with an 'A' Certificate and is now up for release.
Marking the debut of Bellamkonda Suresh's son Srinivas, the movie will have a worldwide release on July 25. But there is a hitch.
Vinayak's movie will clash with Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan's much-hyped "Kick" which releases on the same day.
Made on a whopping budget under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions, Bellamkonda Suresh, the producer of the film has forked out Rs 8 crores on the publicity alone.
The advance ticket booking has registered 60% booking for the first show on the first day.
Slated for release in Telangana, Seemandhra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharastra, Bellamkonda Suresh will release the film in record number of screens to ensure everything goes in favor of the movie.
However, Suresh is worried about the film's box-office performance with Salman's 'Kick' coming on the same day. Apparently, Salman Khan enjoys quite a fan following down south and his latest outing , which is apparently a Hindi remake of Ravi Teja's Telugu namesake hit, has been anxiously anticipated in the region ever since it was announced.
Considering the widespread hype of 'Kick', the makers of “Alludu Seenu” are getting cold-feet. To ensure things work out for them, they have planned to release it in more than 500 screens down south.
To know which film fares well at the box-office, stay tuned.
