As we speculate over who would star in the Telugu remake of the Bollywood blockbuster 'Aashiqui 2' - the seasoned Tamanna or the newbie Ankita Shorey, seems there is a new contender in the race.

The latest name to tattle the grapevine is none other than Bollywood's baby doll, Sunny Leone.

Yes, you heard it right! The porn star turned actress, who is garnering rave reviews for her horrex act in 'Ragini MMS 2' had been approached by Telugu director to play the lead role, originally essayed by Shraddha Kapoor, in 2013 musical.

Although Tamanna was the first choice for the flick, she was shown the doors because of her high price tantrum. It was heard that former Miss India Ankita Shorey would team up with Sachin Joshi for the remake.

However, it seems that the role has finally fallen on Leone's kitty. But mind you. This isn't her first regional venture. The actress is doing a cameo in Tamil flick 'Vadacurry'.

Apparently, Sunny Leone feels she is over and done with skin shows and erotic dramas and is now more inclined towards character oriented, substantial roles that would help establish her prowess as an actress.
