Story

Vikram (Sharwanand) is a fun-loving guy who lives in London. His friend Anurag (Adith Ram) and his wife Shanti die in an accident, leaving behind a happy child. Vikram and Subhadra (Krithi Shetty) have to look after their two-year-old son Khushi as per the legal laws in London. What will their journey look like forms the story of Manamey. How will their life change? Manamey answers these questions.

Analysis

Manamey came up with a new idea about two people taking care of a friend's baby in an unexpected scenario. Apart from this and Sharwanand's few jokes, Manamey falters everywhere. Manamey started slowly and the first half could have been better. The way the hero and heroine agree to take responsibility for caring for the baby is unconvincing. The scene where he creates his own obstacles as a manager didn't leave any impression. The interval block is quite predictable and the second half follows the same progression. There have been many films where the main couple meets an older couple and then realizes they are in love. Some of the more common ones include a villain in a suit, a restaurant in need of renovation, and a hot fiance. The role of the villain also ends abruptly and the restaurant is completely forgotten.

The camera work is pretty good, but the background music wasn't as great as the graphics. Most of the film was shot in Europe, which is visually appealing. Vennela Kishore and Sharwanand's combination scene drew laughter. Manamey's plot may be emotionally moving, but its execution follows the cliched mold of classic love stories that get lost in parenting dramas. In a story about babies, it seems problematic that there are few touching scenes involving babies. The director's uneven and emotionally flawed story, the drama of love and bonding with a baby, feels like two separate paths. The climax is once again the most hackneyed concept and the whole film feels like a long running time due to the long and boring episodes. Overall, the old model story with hackneyed episodes such as the sacrifice of the fiance and the going to the wedding keeps Manamey unstable and at the same time ensures an emotional drama. Sharwanand's energy and jokes can save him money, but Manamey needs more.

Performance

Sharwanand  played a fun-loving role and he portrayed his role with perfection. However, a bad storyline spoiled Sharwa's performance. Krithi Shetty was pretty but there was nothing special about her acting. Seerat Kapoor and Ayesha Khan made guest appearances and made their presence felt. Some of Vennela Kishore's jokes are well done. Rahul Ramakrishna appears in a regular role. Child actor Khushi is very cute. Sachin Kheekar, Tulasi, Mukesh Rushi and Sita played supporting roles. Adith Ram has a guest role. Siva Khandukuri suits the character he plays and looks good. Rahul Ravindran looks like a bad guy and it looks really bad for him.

Production values are good. Cinematography is great. The background music could have been better. There are a lot of songs in the movie, but nothing really helps. The script lends itself well to the cliched style of scene design. The costumes are the best in the film.
