As we eagerly wait for the LG G3 to hit the stores next month, LG is hoping to fill that void with the LG G Pro 2, the successor to the Optimus G Pro. Build along the lines of the G2, the  G Pro 2 comes with a wider display, quicker internals and LTE support for India. The LG phablet G Pro 2 is targeted at the premium buyers. So how does it weigh against competitor giants like the Oppo N1 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3? We analyze.

Designwise, LG remains loyal to its minimalistic look. It has tried to do away the bezels around the display as much as possible. The 5.9-inch, Full HD display is a stunner of a phone and of the True IPS+ variety, replete with vivid colors and superb viewing angles. Touch sensitivity is excellent.

It comes with a 2.1MP camera with all the necessary sensors and a notification LED. The headphone jack, microUSB port and IR blaster finds space on the top and bottom respectively.

In terms of features, the new phone has plenty of customisation options for the notification bar and the home screen. Plus, you have the Knock Code, Content Lock, and Mini View as additional perks.

Hopped up by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset running at 2.2GHz, it has a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Games and apps run flawlessly. Android 4.4.2 KitKat runs smooth.

You get apps like Life Square, Voice Mate, Voice Recorder, Polaris Viewer 5 and Box pre-installed.
Battery life is impressive too.

The phone is available online for Rs 45,500. Pricey in comparison to other competition, hope that the launch of G3 might warrant a healthy price slash in the future.
